Sharmila Banerjee
Sharmila Banerjee is a renowned dancer and choreographer from Bangladesh. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Dance from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, and completed her Post-Graduate degree in Manipuri Dance at the Manipuri Nartanalaya, Kolkata, under the guidance of Bipin Singh and Kalavati Devi. Banerjee is a recipient of Visva Yuva Barsha Padak, the title of ‘Nartan Visharad’ from Manipuri Nartanalaya, the Gauhar Jamil Shammanana Padak from the Bangladesh Dancer’s Association and is also recognised as the ‘World Master of Bangladesh’ by World Master’s Association in Korea, amongst others. She is currently the head of department of Dance at Chhayanaut and runs her private school, Nritya Nandan.

Shashank Maktedar
Shashank Maktedar began learning classical music from his father, Shamrao Maktedar and later from Pandit Nath Neralkar. He has been awarded the Jadu Bhatta Puraskar, the Aditya Vikram Birla Kala Kiran Award for upcoming musicians by Sangeet Kala Kendra, Mumbai, the Yuva Gayak Puraskar in memory of Ramkrishna Vaze Bua by the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Pune as well as a Fellowship from Sanskriti Pratishthan, Delhi for 2008-2009. Shashank has been a Lecturer at the Goa College of Music since 2002, exclusively training postgraduate students, some of whom are making a name for themselves.

Shashank Subramanyam
Shashank Subramanyam is a noted flautist from India. He trained under the guidance of his father Subramanyam, R K Srikantan, Palghat K V Narayanaswami, and Pandit Jasraj. He has toured extensively in India and abroad; and collaborated with numerous distinguished artists including John McLaughlin, Paco De Lucia, Zakir Hussain, Sultan Khan, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Ajoy Chakrabarty and many others. Subramanyam is a recipient of the Kalaimamani from the Government of Tamil Nadu; Kuzhal Arasar from Kellogg School of Management, Chicago; a Grammy Nomination with guitarist John McLaughlin in 2009; Proclamation to the City Award by Cities of Tulsa and Memphis, USA; Empanelled Artist of the ICCR under Outstanding and Senior category since 1995; and Rotary Awards of Excellence in 1995 and 1997.

Shiraz Ali Khan is a sarod artist from India. He trained under the guidance of his father Dhyanesh Khan, grandfather Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, uncle Ustad Aashish Khan, aunt Ameena Perera, and Pandit Shankar Ghosh.

Shivkumar Sharma
The name Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, to many aficionados of classical music, is synonymous with the santoor. He is credited for bringing the instrument from the realm of Kashmiri folk music into that of the Indian Classical platform, while facing resistance from most conservative quarters. Sharma’s journey began when his father asked him to pursue the development of the Kashmiri santoor. His persistence, repeated experiments and reconfigurations with the instrument gave it new life and eventually paved the way for a new genre of music, earning him tremendous success in the process. Considered to be a living legend and an embodiment of Indian ethos and values, Shivkumar Sharma has been the recipient of several awards from all over the world, which includes the Padma Vibhushan, the Padma Shri, Tansen Samman, Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Award, International Cultural Ambassador Award, Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters of The Indira Gandhi National Open University, and Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellow, amongst many others.

Shruti Sadolikar
Born into a family known for its musical traditions, Shruti Sadolikar is an Indian classical singer of the khyal style. She received her initial training from her father, Wamanrao Sadolikar, before moving on to train under Gulubhai Jasdanwala. Sadolikar holds a master's degree from SNDT Women's University in Mumbai and the Homi Bhabha Fellowship of the National Centre for the Performing Arts. She performs all forms of Indian classical and semi-classical music, including thumri, tappa, and natya sangeet. Sadolikar has performed in many reputed shows, all over India and abroad. She was awarded with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and is currently the Vice Chancellor of the Bhatkhande Music Institute University in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Shubhayu Sen Majumdar
Shubhayu Sen Majumdar is a reputed esraj player from India. He was born into a family heavily influenced by music – his uncle, Sailaja Ranjan Majumdar, is also a celebrated musician and a disciple of Rabindranath Tagore. Shubhayu Sen Majumdar first showed interest towards the esraj after listening to his father play the instrument. He trained under the guidance of Professor Buddhadev Das at the age of seven. Majumdar eventually earned his Honours and Masters, majoring in the esraj, from Sangit Bhavana,Visva Bharati University. Today, he is a practicing musician in the Kolkata commercial and classical music scene. Majumdar performed in several major music festivals all over the world and is currently teaching at the Visva Bharati University.

Shujaat Husain Khan is a renowned Indian vocalist and sitar player of the Imdadkhani gharana. He is the son of the legendary sitar player, Ustad Vilayat Khan.
