Subhankar Banerjee
Subhankar Banerjee is a notable tabla artist from Kolkata, India. He began his training under the guidance of Swapan Shiva and, over the years, he has dedicated himself in exploring the disciplines of other gharanas. Banerjee is best known for his virtuosity and his improvisational ability. He has accompanied many great musicians including Pandit Ravi Shankar, John McLaughlin, Ustad Rashid Khan, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, Dr. L Subramaniam, Dr. Balamurali Krishna, Pandit Jasraj, Pandit M S Gopalkrishnan, Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, Pandit V G Jog, Ustad Imrat Hussain Khan, amongst many others. He has toured in both India and abroad.

Subhen Chatterjee
Subhen Chatterjee is a renowned classical and fusion tabla artist from India. He trained under the guidance of Pandit Swapan Chowdhury. Chatterjee shared the stage with Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Pandit Jasraj, Vidushi Girija Devi, Vidushi Shobha Gurtu, Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Ustad Aashish Khan, Paul Horn, David Crosby and many others. He has also toured in India and abroad. Chatterjee is a member of the band Karma and is also a regular performer at WOMAD. He is a recipient of a Grammy nomination, Just Plain Folk (JPF) Award nomination, Jadu Bhatta Award from Salt Lake Music Conference and Honorary Citizenship from the State of Alabama. Chatterjee holds a record in the Guinness Book of World Records for playing live with 346 musicians in Jorhat (Assam).

Subhra Guha
Subhra Guha comes from a music loving family. She received her earliest training from the late Satish Bhowmick and later took advanced training from the Late Pandit Sunil Bose. In 1982, she joined the prestigious ITC Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata. Subsequently, she also received training and guidance from stalwarts Late Pandit K G Ginde and Late Pandit D T Joshi. She went on to become a guru of the Academy between 1992 and 2003 and has recently rejoined the Academy. Today, Subhra has gained recognition for her thumri renditions in the Poorab Ang.

Suchisree Ray
Born in 1972, Suchisree Ray learnt Dhrupad at an early age from Rabi Mallick. She then took lessons in Kheyal from Pt. Arun Bhaduri and Pt. Manas Chakraborty, and finally received intensive taalim from Pt. Kumar Prasad Mukherjee. She received taalim in Thumri from Vidushi Purnima Choudhury and then from Vidushi Reba Muhuri. In her arresting rendition, Suchisree is able to combine the boldness of the Agra-Gwalior gayaki and the eloquence of the poorav ang.

Sudhir Nayak
Sudhir Nayak is a distinguish harmonium player from India. He received his training under the guidance of Guru Pandit Tulsidas Borkar and Guru Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki in Hindustani Music traditions. However, he is also known to study various other genres of music. Nayak is a solo performer, as well as an accompanist. He is a member of the ensemble ‘Koshish’, and is the Founder of the Global Music and Arts Village in Coastal Karnataka. Nayak has performed at the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia, and African, Far Eastern and Middle Eastern countries. He is a recipient of the Pandit Appasaheb Jalgaonkar Sanvadini Vaadan Puraskar, Late Pandit Govindrao Tembe Smriti Sangatkaar Puraskaar, Saraswat Yuva Puraskar, and the Saath Sangat Pravin Award.

Sujata Mohapatra
Sujata Mohapatra was born in Balasore in 1968. She started learning Odissi at an early age from Guru Sudhakar Sahu and furthered her training under Padma Vibhushan and Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. Sujata Mohapatra is actively involved in teaching Odissi and currently holds the designation of Principal of 'Srjan' (Odissi Nrityabhasa). She performs in India and abroad as a soloist and a leading member of the Srjan Dance Troupe. Her awards include the Hope of India award in 2001, the Bheemeshwar Pratikha Samman in 2004 and the Raaza Puruskar in 2008.

Sumit Mishra
Sumit Mishra is a harmonium artist from Banaras, India. He comes from a family of musicians, Mishra is the son of Pandit Sohan Lal Mishra, nephew of Pandit Mohan Lal Mishra and grandson of Pandit Bundi Maharaj. He trained under the guidance of his father and uncle, and presently continues his training under Pandit Ramnarayan.

Sunanda Sharma
Sunanda Sharma is a vocalist from Himachal Pradesh, India. She trained under the guidance of her father, Pandit Sudarshan Sharma. She specialises in Khayal, Tappa, Thumri, Dadra and Chaiti. Sharma is presently a visiting teacher at SOAS University and the Royal Academy of Music since 2000.
