Ali Ahmad Hussain Khan

Born in Kolkata on 21st March 1939, Ustad Ali Ahmad Hussain Khan comes from a family of renowned shehnai exponents from Banaras. Khan received his training from his uncles, the late Ustad Nazir Hussain Khan and the late Ustad Imdad Hussain Khan. He also took training in vocal music from the late Pandit Tansen Pandey. A top graded artiste of All India Radio, Ustad Ali Ahmad Hussain Khan has, over the span of his career, received a multitude of awards including the ITC Award and the Bishwa Banga Sammelan Award to mention a few. Ustadji has joined ITC Sangeet Research Academy as a guru on June 1st, 2012.
