Amit Chowdhury

Amit Chowdhury began his dance lessons under the guidance of the Late Guru Runu Biswas and from the Chittagong Shilpakala Academy. He eventually went on to train in Bharatnatyam Dance from Rajdeep Baneerjee’s Parampara dance centre; one of the pioneering institutes of Bharatnatyam in Kolkata. Amit completed his MA in Bharatnatyam from Rabindra Bharati University, from where he also concentrated heavily on creative dances. He was awarded 1st class in his BA Degree in Bharatnatyam and the title of ‘Srinagar Moni’ at the 49th Kalki Kalakar Festival in Mumbai.
