Jayaprada Ramamoorthy

Jayaprada Ramamoorthy is a renowned Indian classical Carnatic flautist. Daughter of the acclaimed vocalist Prema Ramamoorthy, she learnt the basics and honed her skills simply by listening to music. It was much later that the self-taught musician fine-tuned her skills under the guidance of artistes such as maestro N Ramani, Sudharshanacharya and B R C Iyengar. She is a recipient of the Ugadi Puraskar and has performed at prestigious national and international music festivals.
