Nritya Chirantan is a dance recital based on Tagore music, weaved together with three of Bangladesh’s classical dance forms – Manipuri, Bharatnatyam and Kathak. Conceptualised and organised by Sharmila Banerjee, and directed and choreographed by Shibly Mohammad, Bimbavati Devi, and Kirti Ramgopal; the dance will be performed by Amit Chowdhury, Sweety Das, Snata Shahrin, Sudeshna Swayamprabha, Mehraj Haque Tushar and Zuairiyah Mouli. Nritya Chirantan explores the mythical practices of dance, and the body expressing the creation and destruction of the universe.
