Shahid Parvez Khan

Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan is a distinguished classical sitar artist from India, an exponent of the Etawah Gharana. He was first initiated into music under the guidance of his father Ustad Aziz Khan, a notable musician and composer in his own right. As is the tradition in his gharana, Khan trained in the disciplines of classical tabla and vocals before moving on to the sitar. He has performed at numerous prestigious music festivals in India and abroad. Khan is a recipient of the Padma Shree and Sangeet Natak Academy Award, amongst others.
