Mashkoor Ali Khan

Mashkoor Ali Khan was initiated into music and trained for fifteen years by his father, the great sarangi-nawaz Shakoor Khan. After his father’s demise, he joined the ITC Sangeet Research Academy as a scholar. Now, as a Guru of the Academy, he nurtures several scholars under his able wings. Mashkoor Ali Khan’s career is studded with numerous awards, like the Abhinav Kala Sammelan in 1993, Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Award in 1994 and Swaranjali Award in 1997.
