Wasifuddin Dagar

Wasifuddin Dagar is a renowned Indian Classical vocalist of the Durpad genre and is a member of the esteemed Dagar family. He began his training under the direct tutelage of his father, Nasir Faiyazuddin Dagar, and uncle, Ustad N. Zahiruddin Dagar – the celebrated Junior Dagar Brothers. Additionally, he also received guidance from his other family members which included, Ustad A. Rahimuddin Dagar, Ustad Aminuddin Dagar, Ustad Zia Fariduddin Dagar, Ustad Rahim Fahimuddin Dagar and Ustad H. Sayeeduddin Dagar – and all of whom are great exponents of Dhrupad singing. Dagar has performed at shows around the world which included, India, France Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Hungary, United States, Finland, amongst many others. He was awarded with the Padma Shri in 2010.
